Accounting Assistant - Severna Park, MD

About the Company and Accounting Assistant Opportunity:



  • CFS is partnering with a client, a healthcare organization in Severna Park, MD to hire an Accounting Assistant

  • Position is fully on site in Severna Park, MD area


    • Company offers free parking to employees!


  • Reports to the Finance Consultant


Job Duties for the Accounting Assistant:



  • Update contracts

  • Monthly ACH collections

  • Input and record payments, charges, and credits to proper accounts

  • Ensure that all AP entries and invoices are accurately entered and exported

  • Perform weekly check runs

  • Work with vendors to resolve accounts payable issues

  • Assist with preparation and distribution of monthly bills and invoices

  • Prepare daily bank deposits

  • Complete monthly sales and use tax reporting

  • Provide admin support to multiple departments


Qualifications for the Accounting Assistant:



  • 2+ years related administrative and accounting experience required

  • Experience using Sage Intacct a plus, but not required

  • Basic Excel skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, good sense of humor, team player

  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive pre-employment criminal background screening



Schedule: 100% on site. Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
Salary: $52,000-$55,000
