Accounting Assistant (Part-time)

International manufacture is adding a part-time Accounting Assistant to their team.   We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Specialist to support the day-to-day accounting operations. This role is responsible for accounts payable and accounts receivable processing, expense report review, general ledger reconciliations, and maintaining accurate financial records.  This is a great opportunity to join a well-established Charlotte company that offers part-time flexibility 24 Hours a week - flexible with days/hours (within a 8-5 time period)  Hourly wage up to $26. an hour.

Responsibilities Include 

• Set up new vendors by collecting all necessary documents. 

• Entering and recording invoices 

• Research any discrepancies, missing documentation, or other issues

• Set up ACH and wire requests to ensure payments are made on time.

• Set up new customers by collecting all necessary documents.

• Recording customer payments (check & ACH).

• Correspond with customer and/or Parts dept when payments and invoices don’t match and the difference is not easily identifiable.

• Review for accuracy and approve expense reports with the appropriate Manager

• General Ledger Reconciliations

• Journal entries for some monthly invoices and charges. 

• File maintenance- Scanning records and/or filing documents, including customer receipts and vendor invoices and digital copies.

• Develop and improve accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures

   

Qualifications:

• Basic Accounting principles

• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
