Job Summary:
Winter Growth Inc. is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our corporate finance team. This is a full-time, entry-level position ideal for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a foundation in corporate accounting. The Accounting Assistant will support Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and general accounting operations while gaining hands-on experience in a professional corporate environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP):
  • Assist with processing vendor invoices and expense reports.
  • Verify invoice accuracy, coding, and approvals.
  • Enter invoices into the accounting system and support payment runs.
  • Maintain vendor records and respond to basic vendor inquiries.

Accounts Receivable (AR):
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices.
  • Record and apply customer payments accurately.
  • Assist with monitoring outstanding receivables.
  • Help maintain customer account records.

General Accounting & Corporate Support:
  • Perform data entry and maintain organized financial documentation.
  • Assist with account reconciliations and month-end close activities.
  • Support internal and external audits as needed.
  • Follow established accounting policies and internal controls.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team.

Qualifications:
Required:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Preferred:
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Internship or coursework experience in accounting or finance.
  • Exposure to accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MIP, or similar).

  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a corporate setting.
