Our client, located on the north side of Columbus, is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support a variety of accounting and administrative functions. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering long-term potential for the right candidate.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working across multiple areas of accounting, has strong Excel skills, and is comfortable in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.
Responsibilities:
Compile and maintain weekly production reports for multiple divisions
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Prepare and process weekly bank deposits
Assist with annual budget preparation alongside the Controller
Enter and maintain payroll data in spreadsheets and within bookkeeping software
Support accounting operations using QuickBooks
Provide administrative support, including answering phones, taking messages, and directing calls
Assist with high call volume, particularly between 4:00 PM - 5:00 PM
Qualifications:
At least 1 years of accounting experience
Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables
Experience with QuickBooks or similar accounting software preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to multitask and support both accounting and administrative functions
Professional communication skills and customer-focused mindset

Pay Details: $23.00 to $25.00 per hour
