LHH is working with a respected organization on the north side of Columbus, OH that is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support its finance and administrative operations. This contract position offers exposure to a variety of accounting functions and is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to expand their experience in a fast-paced business environment.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial data, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Key Responsibilities
Assist with preparing financial reports and supporting monthly accounting activities
Enter, update, and maintain accounting records within QuickBooks
Support budget preparation efforts by compiling and organizing financial information
Calculate and track commission payments while ensuring accurate reporting
Perform account reconciliations and assist with investigating discrepancies
Generate payroll and accounting reports for internal stakeholders
Provide occasional administrative support, including assisting with incoming calls as needed
Qualifications
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline preferred
Previous experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts receivable, accounts payable, or financial administration
Proficiency with accounting software; QuickBooks experience is a plus
Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and data management functions
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
