What You'll Do as an Accounting Assistant:- Maintain customer and vendor setup records and documentation
- Perform accounts receivable tasks including collections and dispute resolution
- Conduct credit checks and follow up on past due invoices
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately
- Enter data and manage filing for accounting and departmental records
- Maintain and update AR and AP schedules
- Support the Director of Finance with daily accounting activities
- Ensure accurate record keeping and complete additional tasks as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Accounting Assistant Role:- High school diploma or equivalent with an associate degree preferred
- Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools with proficiency in Excel
- Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to utilize computer systems effectively, including ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
