What You'll Do as an Accounting Assistant:
  • Maintain customer and vendor setup records and documentation
  • Perform accounts receivable tasks including collections and dispute resolution
  • Conduct credit checks and follow up on past due invoices
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions accurately
  • Enter data and manage filing for accounting and departmental records
  • Maintain and update AR and AP schedules
  • Support the Director of Finance with daily accounting activities
  • Ensure accurate record keeping and complete additional tasks as needed
What You Need to Bring to the Accounting Assistant Role:
  • High school diploma or equivalent with an associate degree preferred
  • Experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, and collections
  • Strong time management and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Office tools with proficiency in Excel
  • Communicate effectively in both verbal and written formats
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to utilize computer systems effectively, including ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365
