Accounting Assistant

We are working with a client who is looking for a detail-focused Accounting Assistant who enjoys keeping things organized, solving problems, and supporting a fast-paced business. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their accounting career who wants hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, month-end activities, and financial reporting while working closely with company leadership!

What You'll Do

• Process invoices, payments, and vendor records
• Create customer invoices and apply cash receipts
• Support collections and maintain customer account balances
• Assist with reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close
• Prepare reports and analyze financial data
• Identify ways to improve processes and increase efficiency
• Support special projects and day-to-day finance operations

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, AP, or AR experience
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting software
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities

Bonus Points

• ERP experience (especially Sage X3)
• Experience with account reconciliations and month-end close
• Interest in automation and process improvements
