Position Overview

This is a hands-on accounting role ideal for a detail-oriented professional with experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoice processing, job costing, and WIP reporting. You'll work directly with project managers and senior finance staff to keep billing activity current, reduce aged work-in-progress (WIP), and ensure the accuracy of financial records across a fast-paced, global energy services environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Job setup and closeout: Open new jobs upon receipt of all required documentation from approved requestors; close completed jobs after verifying all costs are captured and invoices issued
• Invoice and credit memo processing: Generate and submit accurate invoices and credit memos upon job completion in a timely manner
• WIP management: Hold WIP meetings with Account Managers to ensure timely invoicing
• Accounts payable support: Enter vendor invoices by matching against PO receivers or applying correct GL coding; submit batches for Senior AP Specialist approval
• Receipt entry: Record miscellaneous receipts as needed
• AP filing: Maintain an organized accounts payable filing system
• Spreadsheet management: Build and maintain Excel spreadsheets to support reporting and analysis
• Compliance: Adhere to Sparrows Offshore's Quality Policy, Quality System Manual, and all Safety and Environmental requirements
• General support: Assist with additional accounting and administrative projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in an accounting, accounts payable, or finance support role
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a team environment
