Work Scheduled: Hybrid - Fully Remote will not be considered
Candidates must be local to the Bloomington, MN area
Hourly Rate: $19.75/hour
Position Overview:
The Accounting Assistant 3 will support the Accounts Payable and Invoice Indexing team within a Financial Shared Services environment. This role involves reviewing and processing invoices, supporting month-end activities, and utilizing multiple accounting and document management systems to ensure accurate and timely financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review and process invoices accurately and efficiently using financial and document management systems
• Ensure all required financial information is identified and validated
• Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and related issues
• Work independently while meeting departmental productivity metrics and service level agreements
• Support month-end accounting requirements
• Communicate professionally regarding company policies and procedures
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Required Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of related experience
• Experience in Accounts Payable or General Accounting
• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills and proficiency with Word and Outlook
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and customer service mindset
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Costpoint, SAP, OCR systems, OpenText VIM, or Perceptive Content
• Government contracting experience
• Knowledge of FAR, GAAP, and SOX requirements
• Advanced Excel skills
• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or related field
• Experience working within a shared services environment
