Job Summary

At TA Resources we have re-imagined traditional staffing and HR consulting with Small to mid-size businesses in mind. Focusing on what makes our clients unique we match them with the talent they need to continue to grow. We are currently searching for an accounting assistant our client located in Lake Forest, IL. This is a full time role located in Lake Forest, IL.

Our client is an entrepreneurial company that provides contract manufacturing services to the cosmetics and personal care fields. They've been in business since 2018 and have grown at a very fast pace since that time. They specialize in developing and packaging liquids, creams, and hot-fill personal care products into bottles, tubes, jars, sachets, packets, and other package formats.

The accounting assistant should be detail-oriented and organized professional with experience managing accounts payable, accounts receivable, and administrative functions. Skilled in processing invoices, reconciling accounts, maintaining financial records, and providing comprehensive office support. Proven ability to ensure accurate financial transactions, improve workflow efficiency, and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and internal teams.

Responsibilities

  • · Process accounts payable invoices and ensure timely vendor payments.
  • · Generate and distribute customer invoices; monitor accounts receivable balances.
  • · Follow up on outstanding payments and resolve billing discrepancies.
  • · Reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and customer accounts.
  • · Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting systems.
  • · Assist with month-end and year-end reporting activities.
  • · Prepare checks, electronic payments, and deposit records.
  • · Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding payments, billing, and account status.
  • · Perform data entry with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • · Manage filing systems, records, and confidential financial documents.
  • · Provide administrative support including scheduling, correspondence, document preparation, and office coordination.
  • Assist management with reports, spreadsheets, and other administrative project

Qualifications

  • · Some experience or knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting support, or a related administrative role.
  • · High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • · Knowledge of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment applications, account reconciliation, and collections follow-up.
  • · Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Word; experience with QuickBooks.
  • · Strong data entry skills with exceptional accuracy and attention to detail.
  • · Ability to reconcile financial information, identify discrepancies,

Compensation: $23-$24 per hour

  • Location: On-site, Lake Forest, IL

Pay: $23.00 - $24.00 per hour
