The pay range represents the anticipated base pay for this position. Actual pay will be based on factoring including, but not limited to: market data, internal equity, skillset and knowledge, experience, education and overall qualifications for the role.
JOB SUMMARY
The primary purpose of this position is to perform a variety of bookkeeping/accounting tasks for MidCountry Bank, CBSSI and MAC (holding company). This includes reconciliation of general ledger accounts, payable/receivable processing, preparation of various financial documents, interface with bankers and vendors on payment inquiries and to research, monitor, and correct general ledger postings. Proactively researches and corrects any out of balance or general improprieties.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile daily assigned Corporate Bank accounts.
- Review, research and resolve any processing errors. Prepare journal entries.
- Compile data to balance daily assigned Corporate bank accounts and make appropriate journal entries.
- Reconcile various assigned General Ledger accounts.
- Review, research and resolve any processing errors.
- Monitor various intercompany general ledgers and checking accounts for balance and appropriate transactions.
- Clear FMS General Ledger non-posted transactions and Fiserv Host suspense account daily.
- Key journal entries in the General Ledger system.
- Supply daily and monthly GL histories to designated departments.
- Balance various assigned general ledger accounts, including supporting work paper schedules.
- Perform other financial operational duties as warranted.
- Assist Assistant Controller with monthly & quarterly review of all balance sheet general ledger account reconciliations.
- Month-end Application Balancing
- Gather information from Director and Prologue for balancing loans and deposits at month-end.
- Work with Operations to proactively research and correct when appropriate any out of balance situations.

- Back up core Accounts Payable Associate.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education-
- Required: High School Diploma
- Preferred: 2-year Associate's degree in Accounting/Finance
Experience-
- Required for level 1: 1-3 years of experience in bookkeeping, data processing, and/ or banking.
SCHEDULE
This position is scheduled to work 40 hours per week from 8:30 am to 5 :00 pm. The Company reserves the right to change the schedule as required for business needs.
