Accounting Associate

CMB Regional Centers (CMB), the #1 regional center in the EB-5 industry with over twenty-five years' experience, is searching for full-time Accountant. This entry-level role applies basic accounting principles while performing general accounting functions, especially accounts payable (A/P), with integrity, accuracy, efficiency, and discretion.

Accountant works on-site in a professional office setting at the Rock Island, Illinois, location during standard hours of operation Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. CST.  Eligibility for hybrid schedule with two (2) remote workdays per week requires 90 days’ employment, satisfactory work performance, and supervisory approval.

Salary for this position ranges from $62,000 - $69,000 based on knowledge and experience.

What does a typical day for Accountant look like?
The Accountant reports directly to the Controller and works with senior team members to perform general accounting functions with focus on A/P while using standard control protocols, ensuring compliance, and following internal policies, processes, and procedures. This professional can expect the following:

• Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality while working with sensitive information and data.
• Records financial transactions properly, accurately, and timely.
• Reconciles monthly bank statements, expense reports, and intercompany transactions
• Complies financial data to support senior team members in preparation of balance sheets, P&L statements, and other financial reports.

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required;
• Prior work or academic experience using accounting software required;
• One (1) year previous relevant work experience highly preferred;
• Knowledge, skill, and ability to apply basic accounting principles and concepts required;
• Intermediate proficiency and proven work or academic experience using Microsoft Excel required; and
• 10-key typing skills at least 8,000 kph with 95% accuracy highly preferred.
