Position Summary:
The Accounting Associate is a key member of the accounting team that will support day-to-day accounting operations and assist in monthly financial reporting.
Essential Responsibilities:
Accounts Payable (AP)
- Process and enter vendor invoices accurately into the accounting system.
- Review invoices for accuracy, proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation.
- Resolve invoice discrepancies by coordinating with vendors and internal teams.
- Maintain vendor files and ensure W-9 forms and payment details are updated.
- Assist with weekly/monthly payment processing (ACH, wire, check).
Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Enter and apply customer payments (ACH, checks, wires) to open invoices.
- Prepare and maintain daily cash receipts logs and ensure timely posting.
- Support AR reconciliation and follow-up on unapplied or misapplied cash receipts.
- Assist with collections activities and customer account inquiries.
General Accounting Support
- Assist with month-end close activities related to AP and AR.
- Maintain proper documentation for audit and internal controls compliance.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
