Job Title: Accounting Clerk

Job Type: (Remote)

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our team at Jonesbororealtycompany. As an Accounting Clerk, you will be responsible for performing a variety of accounting and administrative tasks to support our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Process accounts payable and ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors

- Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions

- Prepare and submit invoices to clients and follow up on outstanding payments

- Monitor and track expenses and prepare reports for management

- Assist with budget preparation and forecasting

- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to accounting and financial matters

- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and document management

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information

- Adhere to company policies and procedures and maintain confidentiality of financial information

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

- 1-2 years of experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, etc.)

- Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and procedures

- Excellent organizational and time-management skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information

- Knowledge of real estate industry and related accounting practices is a plus
