Schedule: Monday - Friday 8AM - 4PM (37.5 hours/week)
Performs advanced and complex clerical accounting/financial functions under limited supervision including record keeping and reporting for a multitude of accounts; sets-up account payable accounts and processes all check requests in compliance with tight deadlines, budget constraints and established guidelines; serves as liaison to the divisions or outside contacts on a daily basis in order to provide timely information regarding the status of accounts and check requests.
Primary Responsibilities:
Performs all duties of an Accounting Clerk I and additionally handles the following:
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a normal office environment where there are little or no physical discomforts associated with changes in weather or discomforts associated with noise, dust, dirt, and the like.
Duties are usually performed seated. Sitting may be relieved by brief or occasional periods of standing or walking.
Limited amount of physical effort required associated with walking, standing, lifting and carrying light objects (less than 25 lbs.) 5-10% of work time.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or G.E.D.,
and
five years experience performing progressively responsible accounting and/or bookkeeping work with limited supervision preferably within The Salvation Army,
or
any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Applicant may be tested to ascertain qualifications.
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:Valid State driver's license may be required.
