Description
Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is currently seeking a Full Time AccountingClerk for its Finance Department located in Newark, New Jersey.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Performs a range of general clerical, accounting, and bookkeeping support functions
Provides accounting and clerical support to the finance department. Prepares and maintains accounting documents and records
Codes, posts, and receives payments. Prepares and coordinates bank deposit activities. Prepares general ledger postings and statements
Performs all necessary reconciliations in a timely manner. Researches, tracks, and restores accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
Enters data for financial transactions on a daily basis
Researches cash receipts, bank deposits, custodial transactions, and other items when requested
Performs filing and general administrative tasks
Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Associate's degree in finance or related field
1-3 years experience in finance, business or accounting is preferred but not required
