Production Accounting Clerk (Contract)

Position Overview
Our entertainment client is seeking a Production Accounting Clerk to support the production accounting team during a busy production cycle. This role will be responsible for processing production-related transactions, reconciling credit card activity, maintaining accurate records, and assisting with day-to-day accounting operations. The ideal candidate has prior production accounting experience within entertainment, film, television, or media environments and strong attention to detail.
Responsibilities
Perform high-volume credit card reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
Review, code, and process production-related expenses and employee reimbursements.
Assist with accounts payable processing, including invoice review and vendor setup.
Maintain production accounting files and supporting documentation.
Reconcile petty cash and other production-related accounts.
Track production spending and ensure expenses are coded accurately.
Assist with month-end close activities and account reconciliations.
Support payroll, purchasing, and production teams with accounting-related inquiries.
Prepare reports and schedules as requested by management.
Ensure compliance with internal controls and production accounting procedures.
Qualifications
2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in production accounting within the entertainment industry.
Strong experience performing credit card reconciliations is required.
Experience with accounts payable and expense processing.
Familiarity with production accounting workflows and production cost tracking.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including sorting, filtering, and basic formulas.
Experience with entertainment accounting systems is a plus.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting film, television, streaming, or other entertainment productions.
Knowledge of production payroll, purchase orders, and petty cash processing.
Previous experience working in a studio, production company, or media environment.
Pay Details: $28.00 to $35.00 per hour
