Responsible for managing the month end close process, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and preparation of financial reports and statements. My client is a large, multi-entity manufacturing company with a complex operational structure spanning multiple locations and business units. They operate in a fast paced environment with significant production volume, requiring strong financial oversight, consolidated reporting, and cross entity coordination.

Description

  • Lead the month end close process, including preparing journal entries, performing detailed account analyses, and completing balance sheet reconciliations while investigating and resolving variances
  • Prepare and support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting, including consolidated financial statements and required supporting schedules
  • Perform bank and intercompany reconciliations, along with work in process analysis to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition under percentage of completion accounting
  • Manage inventory reconciliations and assist with physical inventory counts as needed
  • Support budgeting and planning cycles by contributing to monthly projections, quarterly forecasts, and the annual operating plan
  • Partner with the parent company to meet corporate reporting requirements and deadlines
  • Drive process improvements by identifying opportunities to enhance accounting procedures, controls, and reporting efficiency
  • Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable functions as needed and handle ad hoc reporting and special projects

Profile

  • Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, formulas, and data analysis tools
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP with up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting standards
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage deadlines and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Highly organized, efficient, and focused on improving processes
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities
