Pay: $38.41–$52/hr, depending on experience

Duration: Approximately 6 months

Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking an experienced Accounting & Finance professional to support a Finance Department with day-to-day accounting activities, account reconciliations, project accounting, and year-end audit support.

Responsibilities:

Perform account and general ledger reconciliations

Support accounts receivable and customer account activities

Assist with project costs, Work-in-Progress (WIP), and project accounting

Support capital and fixed asset accounting

Prepare and review journal entries and financial transactions

Assist with project billing and maintain customer contract balances

Research and resolve accounting discrepancies

Maintain accurate accounting and financial records

Prepare spreadsheets and financial reports

Assist with month-end and year-end accounting activities

Provide documentation and schedules for year-end auditor requests

Work within an ERP/accounting system to maintain financial information

Qualifications:

Previous accounting, finance, or fiscal support experience

Strong understanding of accounting principles and account reconciliations

Experience with accounts receivable, general ledger, project accounting, WIP, or fixed assets

ERP/accounting system experience preferred

Strong Excel and computer skills

Ability to research discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records

Experience supporting month-end or year-end close and audits is a plus

Public sector, utilities, construction/project accounting, or similar experience is a plus

Education/Experience:

Candidates with either strong technical accounting experience or professional accounting experience will be considered. Level and compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications
