    Basic Function/Definition

    This is a continuous recruitment to fill part-time, temporary, hourly assignments on an as-needed basis. Departments or divisions will refer to the pool of applicants on file to fill temporary assignments as needed. You will be contacted by the hiring manager should the department or division be interested in scheduling an interview.

    Essential Duties Minimum Qualifications

    Master's degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration

    OR

    Bachelor's degree in business with accounting emphasis or business administration with accounting emphasis or economics with an accounting emphasis AND Master's degree in business, business administration, business education, economics, taxation, or finance (NOTE: A Bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration, with a CPA license is an alternative qualification for this discipline, pursuant to title 5, section 53410.1)

    OR

    A valid California Community College Credential authorizing service in the appropriate subject matter

    OR

    The Equivalent.

    AND

    Demonstrate a sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

    Equivalencies

    1. A master's degree in business, business administration, taxation, or finance AND a CPA license or CMA certification; OR

    2. A bachelor's degree in accountancy or business administration with accounting concentration AND a CPA license or CMA certification AND 6 years of professional work experience as a Certified Public Accountant, Certified Management Accountant or a Certified Internal Auditor.

    Responsibilities

    Assignment may include teaching courses as assigned during day or evening, weekday or weekends or online.

    Have a commitment to professional excellence and continuous growth in the fields of teaching.

    Other professional responsibilities and activities normally expected of members of community college faculty as described by Board Policies and the California Education code.

    Foreign Degrees

    Any degree from a country other than the United States, including Canada and Great Britain, must be evaluated by an Evaluation Service prior to the closing date. Certification must be attached with copies of transcripts.
