Position Summary
The Accounting Intern will support the accounting department with basic financial and administrative tasks. This role is designed to provide hands-on experience in accounting processes while assisting the team with day-to-day operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with data entry and maintenance of financial records
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
- Reconcile basic account transactions and reports
- Assist with Excel spreadsheets and financial tracking
- Support month-end and routine reporting tasks
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing or planning to pursue a degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Basic understanding of accounting principles preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Excel certification a plus)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information
- Good communication and willingness to learn
Preferred Skills
- Experience with accounting or bookkeeping coursework
- Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks or similar is a plus)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
