Division Overview:
The Central Services Division (CSD) team works in partnership with agency divisions providing coaching on human resource policies and procedures, financial management and adherence to fiscal responsibility. We value and respect our fellow team members across the Montana Department of Justice.
The Role:
Are you looking to expand your accounting skills? The Department of Justice is looking for a student intern to assist in accounting needs to support all of our divisions under DOJ. You would be on-site to work with skilled Accountants. Gain knowledge and experience with government accounting practices. Get experience working in the SABHRS system. Learn basic reconciliation techniques. The successful candidate will be expected to work at the CSD office in Helena, MT with a flexible schedule of up to 30 hours per week, and is expected to last up to six months.
This internship will benefit students majoring in accounting, or related field.
COMPETENCIES:
Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow procedures.
Reliability.
Working independently without direct supervision.
Working knowledge of Windows programs such as Word and Excel.
