OverviewNederlander offers internship sessions that provide an opportunity for students to learn about the workings of a multi‑faceted company and to develop professional skills. Interns are required to work up to 20 hours per week with compensation of $17.00 per hour, during which they will acquire hands‑on experience in a theatrical office.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist with filing, scanning, and organizing financial records for easy retrieval.Perform basic data entry of financial transactions into the accounting system under supervision.Support the team with accounts payable tasks, such as invoice coding and routing for approval.Help with basic reconciliations of accounts, ensuring documentation accuracy.Assist in preparing simple financial summaries or reports as assigned.Provide general administrative support to the accounting department as needed.QualificationsActively pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; familiarity with accounting software is a plus.Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn.Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.Good organizational and time‑management skills.Learning OutcomesHands‑on experience with core accounting processes.Understanding of financial documentation and workflow in a corporate environment.Exposure to general ledger, accounts payable, and basic reconciliations.LocationThe main office is centrally located in the Theatre District.Physical RequirementsWhile performing the duties related to this job, the employee is regularly required to have visual acuity, talk, and hear while communicating with executives and other staff members. This position requires sitting, standing, bending, and walking.
