What You'll Do
As an Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for:
  • Managing the daily accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and account reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy.
  • Overseeing the timely preparation of financial statements, profit and loss reports, and end-of-month closing activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and maintaining proper financial controls across all operations.
  • Leading month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial activities, including inventory adjustments.
  • Providing detailed financial analysis and reports to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Supervising, training, and mentoring accounting staff to promote continuous improvement.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership on budgets, forecasts, and process improvements.
  • Supporting grant requests and special projects with financial insights and analysis.
  • Tracking and managing equipment assets, billbacks, chargebacks, and handling collections and deposits.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all financial matters.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate for this role will have:
  • A minimum of 4+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing or food processing environment.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, especially QuickBooks, with advanced skills in Microsoft Excel in required.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, account reconciliation, and financial reporting standards.
  • Experience managing accounts payable and receivable, month-end closings, and financial audits.
  • Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Tech-savvy with a solid understanding of PC functions, networks, VPNs, and enterprise software solutions.
  • The ability to uphold confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism at all times.
  • A degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields is preferred; substantial experience can substitute for formal education.
