Summary:

A growing and established organization is seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day accounting operations and support the financial strength of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role with opportunity for professional growth and increased responsibility as the company continues to evolve.

The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, exceptional analytical skills, and a collaborative leadership style. This position works closely with senior leadership while overseeing a small accounting team and helping drive process improvements across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, and general ledger activities.
  • Supervise, coach, and develop a team of accounting professionals.
  • Prepare and assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  • Review month-end profit and loss statements and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintain accounting controls and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
  • Analyze financial results, budgets, and variances to support business planning and decision-making.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain fixed asset accounting and chart of accounts integrity.
  • Manage banking activities, transfers, and payee information.
  • Partner with internal departments, customers, vendors, and external stakeholders to resolve inquiries and support business objectives.
  • Assist with special projects and additional accounting initiatives as needed.
This is a direct-hire, full-time and salaried role with the business. The schedule will be in-person, standard business hours. Pay is competitive, starting out at $75K per year, commensurate with experience. This company offers a full benefits package.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • 3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including accounting management responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or team leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles and financial controls.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and financial analysis functions.
  • Experience with accounting systems such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar ERP platforms.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Experience with financial reporting and budgeting preferred.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data analytics tools is a plus.
  • CPA or CMA designation preferred but not required.
