Accounting ManagerDescription

Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc. is a leading global manufacturer of golf cars, utility and personal transportation vehicles, side-by-side, all-terrain vehicles, professional turf-care equipment, and ground support equipment. Textron Specialized Vehicles markets products under several different brands. Its vehicles are found in environments ranging from golf courses to factories, airports to planned communities, and theme parks to hunting preserves.

Responsibilities

• Administer general accounting and ensures GAAP and Sarbanes/Oxley compliance and records retention programs as required by corporate and governmental mandate. • Prepare and maintain process documentation for areas of responsibility, such as walkthrough and monitoring testing. • Maintain and develop company operating forecasts and budgets and ensure balance sheet accounts are current and accurate. • Responsible for monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting close activities, including proper application of US GAAP, reviewing and approving journal entries, and variance analysis. • Interpret operating results as they affect the financial aspects of the company and makes specific recommendations which will result in cost reduction and profit improvement. • Ensure business unit compliance with applicable corporate policy and governmental regulations and laws. • Ensure compliance of the company chart of accounts and assign new classifications as necessary. • Facilitate consolidation of domestic and international legal entities for close, tax, and other processes. • Responsible for local to US GAAP reconciliation. • Serve as the main point of contact for internal and external auditors to independently resolve questions and obtain support requested.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required, CPA preferred • Years of Experience: 5 or more years of accounting experience • Software Knowledge: ERP, SAP, Hyperion, Microsoft Office applications • Strong working knowledge of US GAAP
