Accounting Manager

The Hiring Advisors is partnering with a manufacturing powerhouse in the LA area to find an Accounting Manager If you bridge the gap between Big 4/public accounting rigor and hands-on manufacturing cost accounting—and you actually enjoy a deep-dive variance analysis—this is your next move.

Responsibilities:

• Own the end-to-end month-end and year-end close processes, preparing complex journal entries, reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Manage the full cash-in/cash-out cycle (AP/AR), employee expense management, billing, collections, and cash flow monitoring.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for external audits, gathering documentation, ensuring GAAP compliance, and maintaining ironclad internal controls.
• Partner with leadership to streamline financial systems (QuickBooks Advanced, BILL, Brex, ERPs) and improve data flow as the company scales.
• Oversee payroll accounting and manage state, federal, and local tax portal compliance.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a blend of public accounting (Big 4 or regional) AND private manufacturing experience (any manufacturing sector welcome!).
• Solid, practical understanding of inventory tracking, standard costing, and COGS in a physical product environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• An active CPA license.
• Advanced Excel skills (pivots, index/match, complex modeling) and deep experience with mid-market ERPs and accounting tech stacks.
• High attention to detail, strong ownership mindset, and a desire to be on-site collaborating with the team daily.

The Perks & Pay

• $110,000 – $150,000 base salary (DOE) + annual performance bonus.
