Job Description:
This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who combines a strong technical accounting background with a proactive, process-improvement mindset. Initially focused on transactional accounting activities and month-end support, the position will gradually expand into financial reporting, analysis, and special projects aimed at improving financial processes and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can quickly learn new systems, work independently, and contribute beyond day-to-day accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform transactional accounting activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial data maintenance.
- Support month-end and year-end close processes.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and related reports.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records and financial data.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and controls.
- Support special projects and operational initiatives within the finance organization.
- Analyze financial processes, identify issues, and recommend solutions.
- Work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.
Qualifications- 10–15 years of financial accounting and reporting experience.
- Strong foundation in accounting principles, financial reporting, and general ledger activities.
- Experience with journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, and financial statement preparation.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle and/or Workday strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success driving process improvements and operational efficiencies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, adapt to new processes, and work independently.
- Self-motivated, naturally curious, and capable of taking initiative with minimal direction.
