Accounting Manager / Controller Position Summary
Seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager / Controller to lead the company's accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, internal controls, and audit processes. This role will oversee daily accounting activities, manage a small team, and partner with leadership to support strategic business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee AP, AR, general ledger, fixed assets, cash management, and account reconciliations.
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts.
  • Develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and support tax compliance activities.
  • Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative team environment.
  • Drive process improvements and support ERP/system enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • 3+ years of management or supervisory experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls.
  • Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
