Accounting Manager - Direct HireWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our clients team in Wadsworth, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who wants to lead and improve accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Controller, you will oversee key financial activities, ensure compliance with GAAP, and drive continuous improvement in accounting systems. Shift:- Flexible schedule of 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm
Pay:- $80,000.00 $100,000.00 per year based on experience
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely reporting
- Manage cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment
- Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure GAAP compliance
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
- Serve as ERP system owner (SAP) and promote process excellence
- Maintain internal controls and support audit and compliance efforts
Minimum Requirements:- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
- Leadership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
Nice to Have Skills:- Experience leading teams and process improvements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred Education and Experience:- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing accounting
