Accounting Manager - Direct Hire

We are looking for a motivated and experienced Accounting Manager to join our clients team in Wadsworth, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional who wants to lead and improve accounting processes within a manufacturing environment.

Reporting to the Controller, you will oversee key financial activities, ensure compliance with GAAP, and drive continuous improvement in accounting systems. Shift:
  • Flexible schedule of 7am-3:30pm or 8am-4:30pm 



Pay:
  • $68,000.00 – $78,000.00 per year



Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes to ensure timely reporting
  • Manage cost accounting functions within a manufacturing environment
  • Maintain the integrity of the General Ledger and ensure GAAP compliance
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities
  • Serve as ERP system owner (SAP) and promote process excellence
  • Maintain internal controls and support audit and compliance efforts



Minimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP)
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls
  • Leadership mindset with a focus on continuous improvement



Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience leading teams and process improvements
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills



Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing accounting
