Accounting Manager

Description: Accounting ManagerOVERVIEWWe are looking for an experienced Accountant. This role is responsible for General Ledger month-end closing processes, corporate accounting, and regulatory and financial reporting; ensuring the accuracy of accounting records; ensuring reported results comply with accounting principles and standards; and developing internal control policies and procedures. Simplify and streamline processes.Responsibilities:

Managing all finance and accounting operations, including AR, GL accounting, and cost accountingCoordinate, support, manage, and direct the preparation of month-end closing activities to ensure financials are submitted to corporate in a timely and accurate manner.Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and report variancesKnowledge in percentage of completion revenue recognitionPrepare and publish timely monthly financial statementsSupport month-end and year-end close processEnsure quality control over financial transactions and financial reportingDevelop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controlsManage the company's financial reporting system, generate monthly financial statements and ensure the integrity of the balance sheetProvide support for the annual auditResearch technical accounting issues for complianceManage, mentor, and train employees

Education and Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance8+ years of related experience (Project based accounting experience considered an asset).Excellent Microsoft Excel skills; working with large datasets from multiple systems.Strong analytical background; results driven.Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.Well-developed critical thinking and strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to collaborate effectively with senior management and business operations personnel.
