Accounting Manager
Overview
We are seeking a highly technical and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to lead core accounting operations and ensure integrity in financial reporting. This role is ideal for a CPA professional who thrives in a hands-on environment, brings strong GAAP expertise, and enjoys driving process improvements while partnering closely with leadership. You'll play a key role in overseeing the close process, strengthening internal controls, and elevating the overall accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, financial reporting, and oversight of AP, AR, and payroll functions
Own and drive the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
Review and approve complex journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and company accounting policies; research and apply technical accounting guidance as needed
Analyze financial results, identify trends, and investigate variances to provide actionable insights to leadership
Design, implement, and continuously improve internal controls, policies, and procedures
Lead coordination of external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and direct interaction with auditors
Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial initiatives
Support ERP optimization, system implementations, and accounting process improvements
Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff, fostering a high-performance and continuous improvement mindset
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field (required)
CPA license required or strongly preferred
7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting or a combination of public and industry experience
Strong technical accounting expertise, including deep knowledge of U.S. GAAP
Proven experience owning or leading the full close process
Experience reviewing work and developing junior to mid-level staff
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar)

Pay Details: $150,000.00 to $170,000.00 per year
