Role Summary
The Accounting Manager will play a critical role in overseeing financial reporting, account reconciliations, treasury support, budgeting activities, and operational accounting functions across multiple locations. This position serves as a key business partner to leadership by providing financial insights, ensuring accounting accuracy, and supporting continuous process improvements.
The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in manufacturing accounting, financial analysis, and balance sheet management while helping strengthen controls, enhance reporting processes, and support organizational growth initiatives. This role offers significant exposure across finance and operations and the opportunity to contribute to meaningful change throughout the business.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP
Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accurate accounting for liabilities and financial exposures
Manage bank reconciliations and support treasury and cash management activities across multiple locations
Prepare financial reporting packages, aging reports, cash flow analysis, and ad hoc financial analysis for leadership
Record and maintain ASC 842 lease accounting entries and related reporting requirements
Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to identify trends and drive operational improvements
Analyze inventory, manufacturing costs, and cost of sales components to support profitability and working capital initiatives
Assist with audits, tax compliance activities, banking requirements, covenant reporting, and internal control processes
Key Requirements
7+ years of progressive accounting experience with experience in a manufacturing environment
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Strong experience preparing financial statements and ensuring GAAP compliance, including ASC 842 lease accounting
Experience performing bank reconciliations, balance sheet reconciliations, and month end close activities
Background in cost accounting, inventory accounting, and manufacturing operations
Experience working with ERP systems such as Infor, Microsoft Navision, or other large enterprise platforms
Experience supporting system implementations, process improvements, or organizational change initiatives preferred
Strong analytical, communication, and cross functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
CPA designation preferred
Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline preferred
Experience within food manufacturing, consumer products, or related production environments
ERP implementation experience
Knowledge of treasury operations and working capital management
Experience supporting multi location operations
