We're looking for an Accounting Manager who is both a strong technical expert and a hands-on leader to guide our accounting team and support the financial health of the organization.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department
- Own the month-end close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial review
- Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, including bank and EFT reconciliations
- Oversee sales tax filings and compliance requirements
- Manage cash disbursements, including monthly check runs
- Maintain business licenses, tax registrations, and required reporting (Builder's Risk, 1GPA)
- Partner closely with the CFO and Leadership on financial initiatives
- Collaborate with Operations to align financial data with project performance
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members
- Ensure deadlines are consistently met with accuracy and accountability
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience (construction industry required)
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience
- Strong knowledge of job cost accounting and construction financials
- Experience with ERP systems (Vista Viewpoint preferred)
- CPA or CPA-eligible is a plus
- Strong analytical, organizational, and leadership skills
