Company Summary: A leading alternative investment manager is seeking an Accounting Manager to join its Finance team. This individual will play a key role in managing the accounting, analysis, and operational oversight of compensation arrangements for investment professionals across multiple business units and legal entities. The position reports to the Controller/ Head of Management Company Accounting, and sits at the intersection of accounting, compensation analytics, financial reporting, and business management.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage compensation accounting processes, including accruals, bonus reserves, journal entries, and reconciliations across multiple entities
Calculate and maintain payout allocations tied to business performance, team economics, and compensation arrangements
Prepare compensation reporting, forecasting, and analytics for senior finance and business stakeholders
Partner with Treasury, HR, Legal, and technology teams to support compensation operations, controls, process improvements, and reporting enhancements
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in hedge fund accounting, management company accounting, compensation accounting, financial reporting, or controllership functions within alternative asset management
Strong understanding of compensation accruals, bonus accounting, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes
Advanced Excel skills with experience analyzing large and complex data sets; exposure to SQL, Power BI, Alteryx, or similar tools is a plus
CPA preferred
