Accounting Manager

Base pay range $100,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yrOverview Our client is a rapidly growing fashion and lifestyle brand with retail locations across the country. This newly created role will take ownership of the month-end close, support inventory accounting, and drive financial reporting accuracy in a fast-paced NetSuite ERP environment. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting skills, experience in retail, and the ability to turn data into insights using tools like Excel, Power Query, and Power BI.Responsibilities Lead and execute the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reportingMaintain and reconcile inventory balances, including COGS, shrink, and inventory valuation adjustmentsUse NetSuite ERP to manage core accounting functions such as AP/AR, GL, and financial reportingPartner cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and merchandising teams to ensure accurate inventory reporting and cost trackingPrepare and analyze financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, and key performance indicatorsCreate and maintain dashboards and reporting tools using Excel, Power Query, and Power BI to support decision-makingEnsure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and accounting standards (GAAP)Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability of accounting operationsRequired Qualifications 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or CPG environmentBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track a plus)Hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP is a big PLUSStrong understanding of inventory accounting, including physical counts, costing, and reconciliationAdvanced Excel skills (pivot tables, index/match, lookups, macros); experience with Power Query and Power BI preferredSeniority level Mid-Senior levelEmployment type Full-timeJob function Finance and Accounting/AuditingIndustries Retail Apparel and Fashion, Retail, and Fashion Accessories Manufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
