Description

Accounting Manager – Somerset County, NJSalary: $85,000–$100,000 per year. Full benefits package.The Accounting Manager will oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations and financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance and strong internal controls. This role partners closely with Operations, Supply Chain and Executive Management to support cost accounting, inventory management and financial decision‑making in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on accounting expertise within the manufacturing industry, leadership experience, and a strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures.ResponsibilitiesPerform general ledger accounting including journal entries, accruals, and financial reporting.Manage month/quarter/year‑end close and balance‑sheet and bank account reconciliations.Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash‑flow reports.Maintain and reconcile inventory accounts for raw materials, WIP and finished goods.Support cost accounting activities such as costing, variance analysis and COGS calculations.Analyze material, labor and overhead variances and communicate findings to operations and finance leadership.Assist with inventory cycle counts and physical inventory processes.Maintain bills of materials and routings in ERP systems.Support budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis related to manufacturing operations.Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies and internal controls.Assist with internal and external audits, including documentation and audit schedules.Partner with operations, supply chain and production teams to support accurate financial reporting.Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency enhancements.Coordinate with tax and external advisors on compliance, filings and documentation.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance gratuitamente.4+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing environment A MUST.Team player eager to take on new challenges and projects.Strong knowledge of general ledger and cost accounting principles.Highly proficient with inventory accounting and production cost structure.Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving skills.Ability to manage multiple shifting priorities in a fast‑paced environment.Strong collaborator across multi‑departmental leadership.Strong communication skills, attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.Proficiency with ERP systems and strong technological skills.Strong Microsoft Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, lookups) and MS Office Suite.Seniority levelMid‑Senior levelEmployment typeFull‑timeJob functionAccounting/Auditing, Management, and Strategy/PlanningIndustriesManufacturing#J-18808-Ljbffr
