The Accounting Manager oversees daily accounting operations with completeness and accuracy and supports strategic decision making by maintaining strong internal controls and efficient financial processes. This role manages the staff accountants and collaborates with leadership across departments.

This role reports directly to the Assistant Corporate Controller.

Main Responsibilities:

• Assist accounting team with the monthly financial close process, including review of account reconciliations, journal entries, and maintaining accurate supporting analysis and documentation across various complex accounting areas.

• Own inventory accounting, including monthly warehouse adjustments and the calculation of SLOB/SLED and demand-based reserves (LCM/NRV methods).

• Take ownership of accounting areas including but not limited to; DTC, prepaids, leases, other assets, all expenses related to people’s costs, analysis of SG&A, other income and expenses and PP&E.

• Review of new customer and vendor set up, review of customer pricing set up in SAP

• Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly financial statements (Cash Flow & Shareholders’ Equity)

• Participate in period over period fluctuations and provide insightful commentary of key business drivers in accounting areas assigned.

• Respond timely to inquiries through research and analysis from all global accounting teams

• Support numerous special projects and requests from the finance leadership as they arise

• Assist in the coordination of external and internal audits and provide requests as needed.

• Proactively identify areas for improvement; provide recommendations to management and execute changes.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master's degree in accounting.

• Must have 5 - 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 1-2 years of supervisory responsibilities.

• CPG or related industry experience required.

• Must have strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting.

• Must have proficiency with SAP.

• IBM Cognos experience (Plus)

• Experience with stock-based compensation experience (Plus)

• Experience with international consolidation and FX (Plus)

• Must have advanced Excel skills and strong analytical abilities.

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

 

This is a reasonable estimate of the current pay range for this position. The base pay actually offered may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.

US Pay Range

$120,000 - $140,000USD
