Key Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager
  • Lead month-end close, financial reporting, and account reconciliation processes
  • Oversee project accounting activities, including WIP reporting and revenue recognition
  • Manage and mentor accounting staff while supporting team development
  • Review financial results, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to leadership
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal controls
  • Coordinate audit support and maintain accurate financial documentation
  • Identify and implement process improvements and accounting efficiencies
  • Partner with operational leaders on special projects and business initiatives
Qualifications for the Accounting Manager
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience with leadership responsibilities

• AEC industry experience required

• Deltek Vantagepoint experience required

• Strong understanding of project accounting, WIP reporting, and financial reporting

• Experience managing month-end close and leading accounting operations

• Proven ability to mentor staff and drive process improvements

• CPA preferred but not required
