Core Responsibilities (Accounting Manager)


As the Accounting Manager, you will:



  • Manage healthcare revenue accounting in accordance with ASC 606, including gross revenue, contractual adjustments, denials, allowances, and bad debt

  • Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and reporting

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies

  • Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances

  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis efforts

  • Maintain fixed asset schedules and oversee depreciation accounting

  • Oversee payroll accounting and related reconciliations

  • Support external audits with schedules and documentation

  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, strengthen controls, and enhance efficiency

  • Partner cross-functionally to support business goals



Qualifications for the Accounting Manager



  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required

  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience

  • Direct experience with healthcare revenue accounting required

  • Strong understanding of reimbursement methodologies, contractual adjustments, denials, and bad debt

  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

  • CPA preferred but not required

  • Experience with Great Plains, FRx, or similar systems a plus

  • Exposure to AI-driven analytics tools is a plus
