Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is primarily responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all functions related to financial statement preparation, including managing the General Ledger function, and weekly and month-end closing. Supervises the General Ledger and Accounts Payable functions. All functions will be performed within the guidelines of the Saracen Casino Resort’s policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives as well as Quapaw Casino’s and Saracen Casino Resort’s.
Essential JOB Functions and Responsibilities
- Supervise Accounts Payable, and General Ledger.
- Responsible for managing month-end closings, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations and analyzing trial balances.
- Review entries to the general ledger to assure accuracy and timely completion.
- Assist with preparing monthly financial statements – balance sheet, income statement and cash flow statement.
- Maintain changes and additions to chart of accounts.
- Assist with budget process.
- Provide regular feedback to the Accounts Payable, and General Ledger team members.
- Assist in other projects, as directed by the CFO and/or Financial Controller.
- Attend all necessary training meetings. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback

- Provides exceptional customer service to all guests, both internal and external, and communicates in a pleasant, friendly professional manner at all times.
- Maintains a professional work environment with supervisors and staff.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age or older upon employment.
- Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related area preferred.
- Minimum 5 years direct accounting experience required.
- Understanding and experience with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) required and government accounting standards (GAS)
- Proficiency with MS Office applications highly desired, Excel and Outlook required, Word and PowerPoint desired.
- Working Knowledge and demonstrated experience with Infinium or similar general ledger system required.
- Ability to communicate effectively both written and orally.
- Must present a well-groomed and professional appearance.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers.
- Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees.
- Must have the ability to resolve problems/conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner.
- Must be able to be approved for and maintain a valid gaming license.
- Work nights, weekends and holidays as required.

- Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees, and members of the business community in all situations.
