Job Summary
Accounting Management
Direct/Manage/Supervise one or more accounting teams. Ensure university adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles ( GAAP ) or other accounting standards. Ensure timely preparation and review of all required regulatory filings. Advise on annual budgeting and prepare accounting reports for executive leadership. Review work submitted by accountants and manage accounting close processes. Perform analysis on financials and accounting metrics for presentation to leadership. First-level manager. Manage the activities of supervisors and/or individual contributors. Responsible for hiring, firing, performance appraisals, and pay reviews. Broad knowledge of the field with demonstrated leadership skills.

Responsibilities
Manager, Accounting Management
Direct and supervise one or more accounting teams, including supervisors and staff.
Ensure compliance with GAAP , university policies, and regulatory requirements.
Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
Oversee preparation and submission of regulatory filings and coordinate audit activities.
Advise leadership on budgeting and monitor financial performance against plans.
Analyze financial results and deliver reports and insights to executive leadership.
Maintain internal controls and drive process improvements.
Manage hiring, performance evaluations, compensation, and employee development.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor's degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Manager, Accounting Management: Requires a bachelor's (or equivalency) + 6 years or a master's (or equivalency) + 4 years of directly related work experience.
