Prepare and review financial statements to ensure accuracy and compliance with accounting standards. Lead month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting. Develop and monitor COGS, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance metrics. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with policies. Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, fostering professional development. Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency. Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and maintain strong internal controls. This role is onsite based in Scottsdale, AZ.The Successful ApplicantA successful Accounting Manager should have: A strong background in accounting and finance, ideally within manufacturing, engineering, or construction. Strong understanding of project based accounting, inventory, and COGS. Proficiency in larger complex accounting software systems such as MS Dynamics, Oracle, or SAP plus advanced skills in Microsoft Excel. Preference for someone who has been involved in and ERP system implementation. Proven ability to lead and manage a team effectively. Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration. A solid understanding of compliance and financial regulations.
