Accounting Manager / Senior Accountant
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on accounting professional to join our team immediately. This role will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, managing the general ledger, accounts payable, payroll support, bank reconciliations, financial reporting, and inventory-related accounting functions.
Responsibilities
Maintain and reconcile the companys General Ledger to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
Process and enter all accounts payable invoices while ensuring appropriate approvals are obtained prior to payment.
Prepare and issue approved vendor payments through designated payment methods.
Record and reconcile all cash receipts and disbursements.
Reconcile bank accounts, cash accounts, credit card payable accounts, and credit card collection accounts.
Prepare monthly financial statements by the 15th day of the following month.
Calculate hourly payroll hours worked and prepare payroll information for submission to the payroll processor, subject to management approval.
Calculate sales commissions and incentive compensation for sales personnel and prepare submissions for payroll processing.
Audit and verify incoming inventory against invoices and packing documentation, identifying and reporting discrepancies.
Assist with inventory processes including applying retail labels to inventory items.
Maintain organized accounting and vendor files to ensure quick and accurate document retrieval.
Supervise and direct the daily duties of the Sales Order & Inventory Data Clerk.
Collaborate closely with executive leadership to support financial operations and reporting needs.
Qualifications
5+ years of accounting experience with strong general ledger and full-cycle accounting knowledge.
Experience with accounts payable, reconciliations, payroll support, and financial statement preparation.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Inventory accounting or inventory reconciliation experience is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software systems.
Strong communication and organizational skills.
