Accounting Manager

StevenDouglas is partnering on a search for an Accounting Manager with a PE-backed company holding the #2 market position in its industry ($250M+). This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys balancing technical and operational accounting, process improvement, and team leadership while working closely with executive leadership. This is a highly visible role reporting directly to the Controller, with a clear runway to Assistant Controller.

What you'll do:

• Lead monthly close across multiple cost centers and business unit P&Ls
• \n
• Own GL/chart of accounts management in NetSuite
• \n
• Partner with the Controller on external audits, internal controls, and compliance
• \n
• Drive process improvement and AI-enabled automation initiatives
• \n
• Manage complex vendor, freight, and contract-related accounting
• \n
• Mentor and develop accounting team members
• \n

What you bring:

• \n
• Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• \n
• 6+ years progressive accounting experience with leadership exposure
• \n
• Strong GAAP and month-end close expertise
• \n
• NetSuite or comparable mid-market ERP proficiency
• \n
• CPA a plus; logistics/multi-location experience a plus
• \n
• Public accounting foundation a plus
• \n
