Growing renewable energy and construction-related organization is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations across a complex multi-entity structure. This is a highly visible role working closely with executive leadership, operations, and project teams to support continued company growth and financial performance.

The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of corporate accounting, project/job cost accounting, and process improvement experience within construction, real estate, infrastructure, or related project-based industries.

Job Details

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Oversee accounting operations across a large multi-entity structure
  • Manage project/job cost accounting including WIP schedules, revenue recognition, budgets, and margin analysis
  • Oversee construction draws, progress billings, retainage, and compliance documentation
  • Supervise accounts payable processes including vendor onboarding, invoice workflows, and payment controls
  • Prepare consolidated financial reporting and intercompany reconciliations
  • Support treasury functions including cash forecasting, banking activity, and intercompany funding
  • Coordinate audit support and assist with tax/compliance reporting
  • Help develop and improve accounting SOPs, controls, and operational efficiencies
  • Supervise and mentor a small accounting team

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Prior experience within construction, renewable energy, real estate, engineering, infrastructure, or project-based industries strongly preferred
  • Experience with job cost accounting, WIP schedules, and multi-entity accounting environments
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
  • Experience with AP oversight, cash management, and intercompany accounting
  • ERP/accounting systems experience required
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills
