Job Summary/Company:

Sparks Group has partnered with a small but growing non-profit organization to find a part-time Accounting Manager.  As the Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for assisting with accounts payable and receivable, grant accounting and reporting as well as supporting set up of workflows and processes.  The ideal candidate will have minimum of 3 years of related nonprofit and grants accounting experience, proficiency working in Intacct and a strong customer service demeanor.  If you’re looking for your next opportunity, apply now!


Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the end-to-end processing of vendor invoices, staff reimbursements, and billings for federal, foundation, and contractual agreements.
  • Lead all grant-related financial activities, ensuring strict adherence to donor restrictions, budgetary guidelines, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Execute journal entries, maintain fixed assets and prepaid schedules, and assist in the preparation of monthly internal financial statements.
  • Perform rigorous reconciliations of AP/AR ledgers and balance sheet accounts, while maintaining meticulous digital and physical audit trails (including W-9s and contracts).
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes, including the preparation of external audit schedules and cross-departmental coordination for fundraising contributions.


Qualifications/Background Profile:
  • Minimum of 3 years of related nonprofit and grant accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in Intacct with experience in Bill.com preferred
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP

This position is available for remote work in the following states: DC, VA, MD, CO, FL, CA, ID, NC

Pay Range: Hourly $31.00 to $36.00
