Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for an Accounting Manager for an established manufacturing organization. This is an exciting direct-hire, fully onsite opportunity based in West Warwick, RI.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Accounting Manager will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end close. This position will ensure accurate financial reporting, maintain strong internal controls, and lead and develop the accounting team. The Accounting Manager will also partner closely with operations to support business performance and drive continuous improvement across accounting processes.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes while ensuring accurate General Ledger activity, reconciliations, financial analyses, and financial statements.
• Oversee Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, inventory accounting, fixed assets, and manufacturing accounting functions.
• Lead, coach, and develop accounting staff while fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Monitor cash collections, vendor payments, working capital performance, payroll-related accounting, Concur T&E activity, and Census filings.
• Support external audits, tax filings, regulatory compliance, budgeting, forecasting, and special finance projects.
• Maintain and strengthen internal controls and accounting policies while driving process improvements and ERP system enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Progressive accounting experience with strong knowledge of financial reporting, General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and month-end close.
• Demonstrated experience leading, supervising, and developing accounting professionals.
• Manufacturing accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong accounting, analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

This position offers a competitive salary of $110,000-$130,000 annually, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package.
