Accounting Specialist 2

$26-$30 per hour | Full-Time | Vancouver, WA (on-site)

My client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support a high‑volume accounting environment within a well-established food manufacturing and distribution organization. This role focuses on full-cycle Accounts Payable, complex vendor reconciliations, and cross-functional billing support tied to warehouse operations.

This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced, transactional accounting while maintaining accuracy, compliance, and strong internal partnerships.


Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare, and process vendor invoices and other financial obligations in compliance with internal accounting policies
  • Review and validate supporting documentation including purchase orders, invoices, receipts, freight, discounts, and payment terms
  • Maintain and reconcile the Accounts Payable ledger with a high degree of accuracy
  • Audit vendor statements, research aged items, and resolve billing or payment discrepancies
  • Match Bills of Lading (BOLs) and accurately bill shipped warehouse orders
  • Collaborate with Supply Chain, Customer Service, and warehouse teams to resolve inventory and billing issues
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Handle sensitive and confidential financial information with discretion

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Accounting, Business Management, or a related field
    or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience in a B2B accounting environment
  • ERP system experience required; Accounts Payable automation tools a plus
  • Proven ability to manage high-volume transaction processing
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and follow-through
